FallĀ Graduation Rehearsal & Breakfast

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University recognized its fall 2025 graduating class during the Fall Commencement Breakfast and Graduation Rehearsal, an event conducted by the Office of Alumni Relations to celebrate student achievement ahead of graduate and baccalaureate commencement ceremonies held Dec. 12 and 13.

The breakfast brought together graduate and undergraduate students, university leadership, faculty and staff to reflect on the academic journeys leading to commencement and reaffirm the values of Aggie excellence, leadership and service. The event also served as the official rehearsal for the commencement ceremonies.

University representatives opened the program by emphasizing the importance of preserving and sharing the story of North Carolina A&T and its graduates. Students were encouraged to remain engaged with the institution as alumni and to continue the legacy of Aggie Pride.

Senior Class President, Jarrod Mason addressed the Class of 2025 and acknowledged the perseverance required to reach graduation. He reflected on academic pressures, personal challenges and moments of uncertainty students experienced throughout their time at the university.

ā€œEach challenge shaped us into who we are today,ā€ said Mason. ā€œAs we move forward, success will be defined by purpose, character and the courage to follow our own paths.ā€

Laurence Price-Webb, president of the Graduate Student Association, delivered remarks recognizing the contributions of graduate and professional students to the campus community. He highlighted the mentorship, research and leadership roles graduate students provided and the lasting impact of those efforts on undergraduate success and institutional excellence.

ā€œOur graduates traveled many paths to earn their degrees,ā€ he said. ā€œTheir dedication strengthened this institution and inspired those who followed.ā€

The program also highlighted the Student Giving Initiative, which encourages graduates to begin their alumni journey through philanthropy. University leaders noted that student participation supports scholarships, academic programs and student resources while reinforcing a long-standing tradition of giving at A&T.

Interim Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Catherine Edmonds ā€˜92, Ed.D., delivered remarks congratulating graduates on their accomplishments. She emphasized that a degree from A&T represents preparation, resilience and opportunity.

ā€œThe degree you earned reflected your hard work and determination,ā€ she said. ā€œCarry the confidence and excellence you developed at A&T into every space you enter.ā€

Edmonds also recognized the faculty, deans and staff whose guidance supported students throughout their academic careers.

The breakfast concluded with final instructions for the commencement ceremonies and a reminder of the lifelong connection between graduates and their alma mater. Students were encouraged to remain involved with the university through alumni engagement, mentorship and service.
