The Honors College Invites Alumni to join the Distinguished Scholarships Application Review Committee for the Class of 2028

The Honors College kindly invites you to join the Distinguished Scholarships Application Review Committee for the Class of 2028. Application readers are an integral part of our selection process and we believe our alumni can assist in selecting the best and brightest candidates because that’s what Aggies Do!

The Honors College oversees three (3) full ride scholarship enrichment programs to include the Cheatham-White, Lewis & Elizabeth Dowdy, and February One Scholarships. For more information about the scholarship programs, please read the full program descriptions on our website.

To read and score applications you only need a computer or tablet with access to the internet. The total anticipated time commitment is about 4-6 hours over a 3-week period (November 20 – December 8). Virtual application readings are an opportunity that allows you to engage with the NC A&T community regardless of your proximity to campus. Virtual training sessions will take place in late October 2023. A step-by-step tutorial will also be provided to explain the evaluation process and each reviewer will be assigned about 20-25 applications to review (contingent upon the volume of applications and the number of volunteers). Scholarship reviewers will receive all training materials and scholarship applications electronically.

North Carolina A&T State University is committed to recruiting and retaining elite students, as outlined in its strategic plan, Preeminence 2030: North Carolina A&T Blueprint. Make a tangible impact on future Aggie leaders by reading and scoring undergraduate scholarship applications. Thank you in advance for your time and support.
