Curtis Walls ‘08 is a man of many talents who has achieved many successes through sports, leadership coaching, philanthropy, art and entrepreneurship. Walls, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, came to North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with aspirations of becoming a top student-athlete, excelling in academics and on the football field. According to Insider.com, the odds of a mother conceiving quadruplets naturally are just 1 in 700,000 pregnancies. Aggie couple Gerald Harper ‘89 and Dayna Harper ‘12 defeated those odds with the birth of quadruplets Grant, Gavin, Sydney, and Bailey on March 11, 2023. Gerald and Dayna’s Aggie love story began with love at first sight. The couple met in 2012 in downtown Greensboro and have been inseparable since their first date. The pair share a love for North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University through service to the Raleigh-Wake Alumni Chapter, with Gerald having served as chapter president and Dayna as corresponding secretary. There is tremendous Aggie Pride in anticipation of the Blue and Gold Marching Machine’s performance at the Tournament of the Roses Parade on January 1, 2024. All of the ensembles are essential to making the Blue and Gold Marching Machine (BGMM) outstanding. A standout section of the band is the drum line, more famously known as Cold Steel. The mighty Cold Steel provides the “rhythmic pulses and cadences for BGMM. Their history goes back decades across the more than 100 years of the marching machine.
