Tell us interesting facts about your chapter: Our Chapter was founded in 1909 which makes
us the oldest chapter. Our Gate City Awards Program evolved into the National Alumni
Association Awards since its establishment in the 1940s. We also established the Gate City
Alumni Chapter Scholarship in 1983.

Please share information about your chapter scholarship: The Gate City Alumni Chapter
has established a scholarship program to assist Guilford County High School students who are
pursuing a college education at North Carolina A&T State University. This scholarship is offered
each year to one incoming Freshman and is renewable for four (4) years as long as the student
meets yearly requirements. The current award is $1250 USD per semester. The Application
period is January 1 – March 1 each year.
